Barrier-Free BC launches ‘Just Say Yes!’ campaign to lobby province for British Columbians with Disabilities Act

VICTORIA, British Columbia – Mar31, 2016 – Newly formed advocacy group, Barrier-Free BC, invites media to the ‘Just Say Yes!’ campaign launch that calls on the province to implement a long overdue British Columbians with Disabilities Act.

Today, there are approximately 604,000 BC residents who live with some form of disability and that number will rapidly increase due to the aging population.

‘Just Say Yes!’ outlines clear objectives for enacting strong and effective legislation to secure the rights for persons with disabilities around issues of accessibility, inclusion and equal opportunity.
